I had breakfast on my way out of town. The tiny unpretentious place was clean and the service was superb. My chilaquiles were generous and very tasty. It was comfortable and perfect for a leisurely start. Would definitely come back.

Delicious food, great service and prices! We had the French toast (was not too sweet and not too buttery :) ), seafood pasta (had a lot of seafood!), and chicken sandwich (great flavors especially the toppings). I liked the way they seasoned the fries as well The servers seem to really care about doing a good job. Would go back to again.

I haven't written a review for a while but the chilaquiles are so good I have to write one. I have had so many mediocre plates of chilaquiles in restaurants I stopped ordering them, but today I decided to give them a try at Rocky's and I was not disappointed. I got half red, half green and both sauces were so flavorful and hit the right notes. The tortillas were the perfect consistency - not hard but not soggy. The grilled onion with the eggs was a great addition. And there was a good amount of cotija sprinkled throughout the plate. I'm definitely coming back when I'm in Seaside.

We were in Seaside for the weekend and had been sorely disappointed at another restaurant so we were on the hunt for some good food. When we arrived it was almost closing time so a little empty. We walked in and were greeted and sat right away. The place is really small but has about 10 four tops. We placed the kids order first but it took a bit longer than expected on a slow afternoon. I'm assuming it was bc they were probably getting ready to close. Once our food came it was smooth sailing from there. My chilaquiles were pretty good but a bit salty so I asked for sour cream. Sour cream made it 1000 times better (I would recommend adding that to the meal). The French toast and pancakes were delicious and my husband and son were extremely satisfied. The kids grilled cheese was "the best" my 5yo had ever had. He finished it all! All and all I think we would come back for breakfast/lunch when in the area again.

As promised we came back to sample the breakfast. Jo had the small plate and I left it up to our host to choose and ended up the Chilaquiles with chorizo and red chillies (see below). Breakfast was a delight, our host was beyond helpful, coffee flowed, the food was fantastic, both dishes deserve high praise. I heard someone in the cafe describing the Chilaquiles as 'breakfast nachos' which is actually pretty instructive based on what I ate and if you are not familiar. You can also have green chillies or red or a mix.. the red were unapologetically hot, green are mild so if you are unsure then ask for a mix and get some heat without your nose running and eyes watering. Thanks again to Rocky's cafe, you deserve all the praise you get, consistently a 5star for us and I didn't even hint I was one of those Elite yelpers :-)

A neighbor mentioned that this place had outstanding fish tacos and they weren't lying. A light, fresh slaw with green sauce dress the tacos and the prawns themselves are lightly battered and quite crisp on arrival. The tortillas seem homemade. On the other end of the spectrum, bf ordered ribs that came with Mac and cheese and coleslaw. We were both really happy to say the least. The ribs were an enormous portion that seemed to be slow oven baked. It was quite tender. The service was lovely and everything came out with impressive attention to detail. Our only complaint would be that the restaurant is a tight squeeze and the table in the back right corner is situated just outside of the bathroom and is a very high-traffic area. We requested to move and were granted this request.

I was quite surprised to believe the quality of this establishments food and service. Staff was very friendly and attentive. On this occasion, I went ahead and ordered their Chilaquiles with green salsa and chorizo . And can I just say, I've never had any other better tasting Chilaquiles within the Monterey Peninsula. I also loved how my egg was cooked to perfection, (over medium,) just how I like it. The location seems a little small for a full on restaurant, but they make it work. I will definitely be coming back for some more Chilaquiles.
